Self Service Kiosk

The Collier County Tax Collector has a self-service kiosk in the Publix in Berkshire Commons located at 7101 Radio Road.  This new kiosk will allow our residents to renew their vehicle registrations and print their decals without having to visit an office. The kiosk is easy to use with secure payment processing.  Conveniently available during Publix’s extended business hours, customers can renew outside of Tax Collector business hours.

To renew at the kiosk you will enter your tag number with your DOB or the PIN from your renewal notice.  This will bring up your vehicle information to renew.  There is a $4.50 fee per transaction.  If a customer wishes to renew multiple vehicles, each renewal will have to be done as a separate transaction.  See here for a complete list of requirements.

Important Note: You may only renew your registration at the self-service kiosk if your registration has NO stops or holds.

Who can renew at the kiosk?

You can renew personal automobiles, pickup trucks, motorcycles, utility trailers, and camper trailers. It will NOT renew a mobile home or vessel/boat. If your license plate is being replaced, you cannot renew using the kiosk. If there is an issue with your renewal the kiosk will print out a receipt with message indicating the reason it was unable to process the renewal.

Can I renew my registration if I need to change my mailing address?

No, you will need to visit one of our Tax Collector offices to change your address.

What is the fee to use the kiosk?

Along with your renewal cost and any late fees (if applicable), you will be charged a $4.50 service fee at all Publix MV Express kiosks. Additionally, there is a 2.3% processing fee for credit & debit cards. Cash is not accepted at the kiosk.

How can I pay?

Only credit and debit card payments are accepted at the kiosk.

What if I need to provide proof of auto insurance?

You will not be able to renew at the kiosk if you need to show proof of auto insurance.

You will need to do one of the following to provide insurance information to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles:

  • Update your insurance information online at services.flhsmv.gov

  • Take your proof of insurance to a driver license office
  • Call (850) 617-2000 and use the automated system to update your insurance

  • Mail in a response to the letter notifying you that insurance information is needed

The MV Express kiosk is located at the front of the store.
